We've heard it all our lives: "A picture is worth a thousand words."

Most of the time, that's exactly how it is.

Read the words: "Her expression seems to change subtly as the viewer's eye, beguiled by Leonardo's sfumato brushstrokes, follows the curve of her smile."

Now see the picture:

Mere words can't begin to describe this picture, though thousands of writers have written millions of words about it.

Pictures are a great idea — most of the time. "Don't tell them, show them," is great advice — most of the time. But not every time.

Sometimes, only words can convey ideas and information that no picture can hope to portray.

We can't show you a picture of "mezzanine financing," or "philanthropic planned giving," or "software auditing and license management."

We can show you appealing stock photos of business people in attractive, modern surroundings — pictures like those you can see at thousands of websites today.

We can show you pictures of  business people shaking hands, and tell you that they have just reached agreement on mezzanine financing.

We can show you people working in a cube farm, and tell you how they are assured of software-license compliance by a license-management application.

But we could just as easily swap the pictures, and tell you that the handshake celebrates a successful software audit, and that the cube farm operation is poised for rapid growth made possible by mezzanine financing.

When you need to tell people about ideas and concepts, pictures aren't enough. You need to use words — and they need to be the right words.

The importance of presentation is undeniable. No matter how good your product or service is, it
must first look good, or it will never get a second look.

But presentation is only a vehicle for delivering the payload of your message — its content.

Wadiano can provide both the vehicle and the payload. In addition to our design services, we offer a full range of writing and editing services — p
resentation and content, from a single source.

Sometimes the right words are worth even more than pictures. You've just read a little more than 300 words. How many pictures were they worth?
